Description
Vyper is a state-of-the-art DVB-S/S2 modulator designed for applications over satellite in full compliance with the DVB-S and DVB-S2 standards. Vyper S/S2 modulator covers the full BIS band (950/2150MHz) and offers a useful bit rate up to 200 Mbps. Depending on the applications, Vyper can be used in conjunction with set-top boxes, professional IRDs or satellite demodulators such as Syper S/S2 demodulator.
Performance & Reliability
Vyper S/S2 modulator has been designed to deal with the requirements of the ETSI EN 302 307. It can operate in CCM as well as VCM and ACM modes. Several modes of inputs bit rate adaption are possible: PCR adaptation, Padding insertion, Null Packet Deletion & Padding Insertion and Dummy BBFrame insertion. An internal PRBS generator can be used to generate a RF spectrum without available inputs.
Vyper S/S2 modulator integrates the complete technology core required to perform high quality modulation based on the TEAMCAST high level knowledge. It provides designers
with a best class performance, providing a high SNR value, excellent shoulder levels and lowest phase noise. Designers can manage this equipment by using a very simple communication protocol thanks to Ethernet port or Serial port.
Vyper GUI allows to choose the standard used: DVB-S or DVB-S2, the modulation configuration, the management of the inputs, the control of the mute/unmute condition of the RF output signal. the GUI offers the monitoring of the input stream (input format, useful bit rate,...).
